About

It’s not often you find a group of guys that are as passionate about the outdoors and our clients’ experiences as we are. From the kitchen to the field, I truly believe I have put together the best team possible. I take great pride in what I do and will never settle when it comes to my team. All members of Midwest Custom Hunts share the same goal: to provide the best habitat possible for the animals we pursue and to provide an unforgettable experience for our clients.

About Shane.JPG

Shane

Owner, Operator, Head Guide

Born and raised in Southeast Missouri, I grew up hunting and fishing with my dad and younger brother, Jake. From a very young age, I recognized the reward in hunting trophy whitetails. It became a huge part of my life by the time I graduated high school in 2003.

By 2008, I realized that I had to be a part of the outdoor industry in some way. Being an avid bow hunter, my wife, Jenna, and I decided to purchase an archery business in my hometown of Perryville. I began hunting with different outfitters regularly at this time and had very mixed experiences, many not so good. I realized that the majority of outfitters were outfitting for one reason: money. It was at this point that I decided to move along in the outdoor industry by becoming a guide and wildlife manager.

In the spring of 2013, I purchased KT’s Trophy Hunts in Northeast Missouri. I decided that the best way to accomplish what I had dreamed to do was to tear down KT’s original format and start over with a fresh plan to manage, grow, and harvest mature Missouri whitetails.

Jake

Guide, Scout

The older my younger brother, Jake, gets, the more obvious it becomes that he was made to kill turkeys. He is a phenomenal hunter and woodsman all around, but his ability to harvest big toms is unparalleled. He is passionate and dedicated to working in the outdoors. You can bet that when hunting with him, you will be in for excitement and success!

About Adam.jpg

Adam

Guide, Handyman, Land Manager

Growing up in the heart of the midwest, in St. Charles County, Missouri along the Missouri River, Adam was molded into an avid outdoorsman at an early age. Years ago I met Adam and his father in my archery shop. Adam purchased a new bow from me that day, and years later contacted me through Facebook. I never forgot the passion I saw in him in the archery shop that day when I met him as a boy, and was sure that nearly 10 years later his passion had only grown stronger. A few messages and phone calls later, Adam came on board the Midwest Custom Hunts team. Since he has proven to be one of the most dedicated, passionate, hardworking outdoorsman you will ever meet, not to mention he is an outstanding carpenter and an even better hunting guide. His attention to detail when it comes to wildlife management is unmatched. He is an all around great hunter and a fun personality to have in camp.

About Bob.jpg

Bob

Cook

Bob started out as a friend that I met on a hog hunt a few years back. When I first met him, it was obvious that he had never met a stranger. In addition to his fantastic personality, Bob is an outstanding cook. So when he called to let me know that he was interested in joining my team, it was a no-brainer!
